Announcing Pionero AI.

Voice infrastructure for the languages every other model treats as an afterthought — production-grade speech recognition and text-to-speech for the world that never got served.

Today we’re launching Pionero AI. We build voice models for the languages the rest of the industry has skipped — the ones spoken by hundreds of millions of people, but missing from every leading speech API on the market.

For the last decade, voice AI has quietly drawn a line. On one side: English, Spanish, Mandarin, a handful of European tongues — fluent, low-latency, production-ready. On the other side: everyone else. If your customers speak Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Amharic, Swahili, Tajik, or any of dozens of regional languages, you’ve been told the same thing for years — “coming soon.” It never comes.

Pionero exists to close that gap. Not as a research demo, not as a benchmark paper, but as infrastructure you can ship on Monday.

What we’re shipping.

Two model families, both available today:

  • Pionero STT — streaming speech recognition with sub-300ms latency across 40+ underserved languages. Code-switching, accents, and noisy phone-line audio handled out of the box.
  • Pionero TTS — natural, expressive synthesis in the same languages, with voice cloning, SSML support, and the prosody to actually sound like a person instead of a press release.

Built for the work that matters.

We didn’t start from a model and look for customers. We started in contact centers, clinics, and banks — places where being understood in your own language isn’t a feature, it’s the entire transaction. The teams running those operations told us the same thing: the global APIs don’t work for their callers, and the local options aren’t production-grade.

So we built for them. Pionero ships with the boring, unglamorous things enterprises actually need: SOC 2, on-prem and VPC deployment, per-region data residency, deterministic latency budgets, and a billing model that doesn’t punish you for scale.

Why now.

The cost of training high-quality speech models has collapsed. The cost of not having them — for the half of the world whose languages were skipped — hasn’t. That asymmetry is the opportunity, and it’s the one we’re going after.

Try it.

The interactive playground on our homepage runs a simulation of the real thing — play with it, then grab an API key and point your traffic at our endpoint. If you’re shipping voice in a language nobody else supports, we want to hear from you.
